As a physician assistant Patty is trained in all major areas of family medicine and is qualified to care for most medical needs of the entire family, from infants to elderly, under the supervision of a physician. The role of a physician assistant may include: obtaining a patient's medical history; performing physical examinations; ordering, performing and interpreting lab and diagnostic tests; performing pap smears and EKGs; prescribing medications and applying and removing casts and sutures, among other responsibilities.
Patty resides in Bemidji with her husband, Jim. They have two children. In her free time, Patty enjoys camping and gardening.
