Interview patients and gather information to assist in diagnosing anxiety, depression, ADHD or other mental health disorders
Brief individual and/or family counseling
Crisis counseling including suicide screenings/assessments
Provide education/support to patients and families regarding anxiety, depression, parenting skills and other mental health topics
Assist patients in understanding psychosomatic complaints with involve both the mind and body by teaching relaxation techniques
Assist with Chemical Dependency issues by providing resources /referrals if needed
Assist with psychiatry and counseling referrals
Referrals to community resources
Patient follow up
Nicole believes it is important to offer a supportive environment, specific to the individual’s or family’s needs to create the therapeutic relationship and work towards change. She also believes collaboration with the individual and all the helping professionals is key in fostering true change.

Nicole Velgersdyk, LPC-MH received her master’s degree in counseling from South Dakota State University. She specialized in agency (mental health counseling) and in rehabilitation counseling within her master’s degree.
Nicole Velgersdyk, LPC-MH is married and has one child. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, watching movies and spending time with family.
