Neonatology & Perinatal Medicine, Research focus: fetal and neonatal nutrition, infants born to diabetic mothers, cardiac health, mitochondria and metabolism
Losing my first baby to an illness after birth gave me a tender heart for very sick babies and their families. As a neonatologist, I strive to optimize care for premature or sick babies, while supporting families through their NICU journey. As a clinician-scientist, my goal is to understand how early environmental exposures, like nutrition, influence both the short and long-term health of the developing baby.
