Providing Continuous Care
As a family physician, Dr. Hanson cares for pediatric, adult, and elderly patients, including nursing home residents, as well as hospice/palliative care.
She provides preventive medicine (physicals, well child visits), as well as treatment for diabetes, depression, anxiety, and high blood pressure.
As a rural physician, Dr. Hanson cares for patients in the hospital, emergency room and clinic, which allows her to work with patients in multiple settings and helps build stronger patient-doctor relationships and better continuity of care. She provides shared prenatal care for pregnant patients' convenience to decrease travel time for routine appointments. I also perform IUD and Nexplanon placements and removals.
She also serves as an instructor for University of Minnesota medical students.
