My approach is to give patients accurate, up-to-date, relevant, and honest information to empower them in making healthcare decisions. I will tell it like it is with a smile!
Over the past decade, I’ve worked or trained in many specialty areas: OB/GYN, peds, inpatient psychiatry, long-term care, surgery, inpatient services, and emergency medicine in addition to my family medicine clinic practice. No matter which role I fill, my passion is patient education. I also have a special interest in women’s/adolescent health.
I grew up in rural SD where PAs were and continue to be the backbone of primary care. This profession affords me the privilege of providing health care to patients while walking with them through some of life’s best and worst moments. I am married with two young children.
Now that I’m a mother, my time away from work is consumed with reading stories, making up silly songs, playing with blocks and of course trying to enforce nap time! Being a mother influences everything I do, especially how I practice medicine and relate to others.
