My patient philosophy is simple. I strive to provide each patient with accurate information about their condition or diagnosis. This usually includes defining both surgical and nonsurgical options of treatment that are available in managing a particular condition.
Angela is versitile in the neurosurgery department. She see patients with spine and brain pathology in clinic and surgically assist in both spine and brain cases. She is proud to say that she was 1 of 2 assistants in the first cervical artificial disc placements in this region.
As a physician assistant specializing in neurosurgery, Angela works in collaboration with a neurosurgeon to care for the needs of her patients.
I have always been facinated by science and medicine. When I was taking pre-med courses at NDSU and courses in the PA program at USD, Vermillion SD, anatomy and other hands on courses were my favorites. I quickly realized that neurosurgery fit my personality very well. It requires great attention to detail. The intrecacy of the brain and spine anatomy and the intensity of taking care of patients with serious disease was what attracted me to this field.
Angela is married and has a daughter. In her spare time she enjoys spending as much time as possible with family and freinds. Summertime is her favorite. She love to camp and sit around the campfire. The simplicity of camping and being able to relax really charges her batteries to give her full attention to her patients while at work. And seeing trageties and triumphs at work makes her that much more thankful for family and friends.
