New Patient Information

This is your journey. We are here to guide you as we work together to help you grow your family. And while every patient and situation is unique, it can sometimes ease concerns to know what a typical journey might look like from your first fertility appointment to fertility procedures and fertility processes to what to expect throughout you care.

It is important to know as much as possible about your body. To do this, we perform diagnostic testing. Which fertility procedure(s) are done depend on your specific care and history.

Following testing and results, we move into your treatment plan. For a seamless transition of care, we suggest making an appointment with our providers throughout your journey if your treatment plan ever needs to change.

Below is the typical fertility process, or the different phases, in a treatment plan. Click on each phase below to learn more about what is involved.

Your Infertility Treatment: Phase One

The first phase of infertility treatments can include ovulation induction, ovulation pills and other ovulation medications.

Your Infertility Treatment: Phase Two

The next step in your treatment typically will involve ovulation induction with ovulation shots.

In Vitro Fertilization (IVF)

In vitro fertilization, or IVF, is the next phase of infertility treatment. IVF procedures and IVF processes are available at Sanford Health in Fargo.

Your Pregnancy

Once you become pregnant after IVF or infertility treatments, we will provide your care until we feel comfortable in transferring you to an OB/GYN.
