A Specialist in Neonatal Care
Jennifer Bellas is a pediatric nurse practitioner who works with neonatologists and other team members on the day-to-day care management of critically ill newborns in the NICU at Sanford Medical Center Fargo.
She treats conditions including apnea of prematurity, gastrointestinal surgical emergencies (NEC, TE fistula, diaphragmatic hernia, etc), genetic and metabolic disorders, hematologic conditions (hydrops, erythroblastosis fetalis, hyperbilirubinemia, etc),
NAS, withdrawal management, neonatal sepsis, perinatal depression, and respiratory distress/failure.
She provides services including resuscitation and stabilization at birth, neonatal/infant chronic care and chronic respiratory support management, conscious sedation management and administration, ordering, performing and interpreting lab and diagnostic tests, palliative care management for newborns, medication management, and family support.
