Family Birth Center Tour
The Family Birth Center tour is for expectant families who wish to learn more about the Mom and Baby unit at Sanford. This is a group tour designed to provide information and to answer your questions. Join us to become more familiar with the place where you meet your new baby. We're excited to share in this journey with you.
When are tours? Typically held the 2nd Sunday and 4th Monday of the month from 5:00-6:30pm. You may designate a specific tour time during registration of 5pm, 5:30pm, or 6:00pm. The last round of tours will leave at 6:00pm.
Who attends? Moms and their support person are all encouraged to attend. Children are also allowed on the tour but should be prepared to be on the tour for roughly 20 minutes. Due to the size of the groups, please do not bring oversized strollers or wagons.
When should moms plan to attend during their pregnancy? Ideally, towards the end of your pregnancy but reservations can be made at any stage.
What do I bring? No need to bring anything as this tour will start and end in different locations of the hospital. Be prepared with any questions or concerns that you have and our tour guides will do their best to answer or follow up as needed.
Where do we meet for the tours? Take the main elevators up the 6th floor. Once you exit to the left out of the elevator you will see a conference room with a sign that says Family Birth Center Tours. Tour guides will take groups up to the 10th floor and then will end the tour in the main lobby.
