Protect yourself from scams: How to avoid being an easy target.

Join us for a free seminar sponsored by the Sanford Health Foundation of Northern Minnesota. Officer Tabitha Carrigan, Bemidji police officer, and Chris Muller, Beltrami county sheriff emergency services director, will educate the community on how to avoid becoming a victim of fraud and scams during the one-hour session.

The seminar will discuss the TRIAD program, which is a partnership of three areas – law enforcement, older adults and community groups – working together to promote safety and reduce the fear of crime aimed at older adults. The topics covered include:

  • Scams within the area
  • How older adults and law enforcement are working together
  • What to do if you fall victim to a scam or fraud

A light lunch will be provided.
