Understanding type 2 diabetes
Alert Day brings awareness to the community
Each year the number of people with diabetes rises, and changing this will take a movement across the nation. Alert Day, established by the American Diabetes Association, is a one-day wakeup call bringing awareness about the prevalence of type 2 diabetes. This year Alert Day falls on Tuesday March 27, and Sanford Bemidji Diabetes Clinic is hosting an open house to educate the community, offer free screenings and more.
