The experienced professionals at Sanford Bemidji Medical Center's Food and Nutritional Services Department provide nourishing and attractive meal service and education for patients and families.
Your diet, as ordered by your physician, may be a "general" or "modified" diet depending upon your particular requirements.
Since correct and adequate nutrition is important to your total recovery, medical nutrition therapy for patients and family members is provided so you may better understand and follow your diet at home. If you desire nutrition information or education before your discharge home, ask your physician or a nursing staff member to contact the dietitian. Individual outpatient nutrition counseling sessions and presentations to community groups are also available.
