Meet Our Team

The Bemidji Cancer Center provides radiation oncology and medical oncology services.

Elie Chalhoub, MD

Hematology and Oncology

Dr. Chalhoub graduated from Lebanese University, Faculty of Medical Sciences in Beirut, Lebanon and completed his residency at the University Of Kansas School of Medicine, Wichita, KS.  He completed an internship at Lebanese University, Faculty of Medical Sciences, Beirut and a fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at Tulane University in New Orleans.

Dr. Chalhoub is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Medical Oncology and Hematology.

Dr. Chalhoub is married and has one son.  He enjoys spending time with family and friends, listening to music and watching basketball.


Peter Friedell, MD, FACP

Medical Oncology

Dr. Friedell graduated from Chicago Medical School in Chicago, IL and completed his residencies in Hematology and Internal Medicine at May Graduate School of Medicine in Rochester, MN.  He completed an internship at Straight Medical: Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA. 

Dr. Friedell is board certified by the American Board of Medical Examiners, the American Board of Internal Medicine: Hematology, Oncology, and the American Board of Obesity Medicine.

Peter Friedell is married and has two children. He is originally from Chicago, IL.


Jasmine Kamboj, MD

Hematology and Oncology

Dr. Kamboj graduated from Armed Forces Medical College in Pune, India and completed her residency at the Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine & Science in Chicago.  She completed an internship at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi, India, and a fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.

Dr. Kamboj is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and board eligible from the American Board of Internal Medicine in Medical Oncology & Hematology.

Dr. Kamboj enjoys music, movies, fashion, shopping, spirituality, exploring new places, and spending time with her family.
