Transplant Nutrition Information

It is very important to be adequately nourished before and after your transplant. Your transplant dietitian’s role is to help you learn about nutrition and diet and how it impacts your health and well being.

Nutrition plays a role in many of the typical post-transplant concerns that may arise. These include:

  • Weight Gain

  • High Blood Pressure

  • High Cholesterol and/or Triglyceride Levels

  • Elevated Blood Glucose Levels or Diabetes

  • Bone Loss

  • Your transplant dietitian will assist you by providing you nutrition information to help prevent or treat these concerns.
