SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Sanford Health’s fundraising arm has a new leader. Micah Aberson assumed duties as president of the Sanford Health Foundation Monday.
Aberson was most recently vice president of client services and business development at Lawrence & Schiller, a Sioux Falls-based advertising and marketing agency. Prior to that, Aberson held various roles at L&S since joining the agency in 2003, including account executive and director of business development/account supervisor.
“Micah’s energy and ability to cultivate relationships are qualities we looked for in a candidate to lead our Foundation,” said Rich Adcock, executive vice president for Sanford. “Fundraising is a critical piece of supporting programs that enhance the lives of the patients we serve.”
As president of the Foundation, Aberson will oversee all fundraising, management of endowment funds and special programs like the Children’s Miracle Network and Cure Kids Cancer across the entire Sanford Health footprint. He will also join Sanford Health’s executive team.
A Sioux Falls native and graduate of Augustana College, Aberson also earned his MBA from the University of Sioux Falls.
