Annual Radiothon Benefitting Sanford Childrens Breaks Another Record

36 Hour Event Raised Money for Children’s Miracle Network

(Sioux Falls, SD) – Local children will benefit from a record level of generosity shown at the annual “36 Hour Radiothon for Kids.” This year’s event was held October 12-14 and raised $137,136 to benefit Children’s Miracle Network at Sanford Children’s Hospital.

“We are always humbled by the generosity of our supporters who call in to donate and by the sponsors that continually show their support,” says Amy Sumner, Program Director. “And of course, an enormous thank you to the radio stations and their hosts. We can’t do this without them.”

The live broadcast was hosted by KTWB 101.9 morning show hosts, Chris Carter and Doc Murphy; KELO-FM 92.5 hosts, Tom Gjerdrum and Christy Taylor; along with Q95.7’s Big Scott Allen and the Cartwright Brothers. Each day, they shared stories of Miracle Children from around the region, their families and staff at Sanford Children’s Hospital.
