Treat Yourself to a Blizzard for Children

Nationwide ‘Miracle Treat Day’ Set for August 11, 2011.

Sioux Falls, SD & Fargo, ND – The sixth annual DQ Miracle Treat Day will take place on Thursday, August 11 at area Dairy Queen and DQ Grill & Chill locations. Participating locations will donate $1 or more of the proceeds from the day’s Blizzard® sales, as well as Blizzard® coupon sales, to Children’s Miracle Network benefitting Sanford Children’s.

The public is invited to stop by their local Dairy Queen or DQ Grill and Chill locations and order a Blizzard®, which in turn will benefit local sick and injured children. “Miracle Treat Day” is an opportunity for the public to savor a sweet treat, and at the same time, support Sanford Children’s Hospitals in both Fargo and Sioux Falls, each region’s only Children’s Miracle Network hospital.

Last year’s Miracle Treat Day raised over $176,000 for Sanford Children’s Hospitals in Sioux Falls and Fargo. For the fifth year in a row, DeLon Mork, Dairy Queen owner in Madison, SD, sold more Blizzards® than any other DQ in North America. DeLon will once again host a celebration as part of Miracle Treat Day on August 11, including kids’ games and activities, and concerts including Phil Baker and Greg Hanson & the Backroads. Since 1984, Dairy Queen® has raised more than $86 million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals– making it one of the top five contributors to the charity.

Families touched by Children’s Miracle Network will be at their local DQs throughout the day, helping with this year’s event. Participating locations include:
