For several years, Sanford Hospital Canton-Inwood, formally Canton-Inwood Memorial Hospital, employees contributed to Booster Buddies, a fund that provided grants to employees who faced emergency situations that caused unforeseen financial hardship. However, after becoming an owned facility, their employees became eligible to donate and receive funds from the Sanford Health Employee Crisis Fund. With this change in mind, the Booster Buddies committee decided to discontinue/dissolve their fund and contribute the remaining $3,000 balance to the Sanford Health Employee Crisis Fund.

“Nearly 60 percent of our employees were contributing to our Booster Buddies fund,” said Janel Kaltenbach, Canton-Inwood Memorial Hospital Booster Buddies Chair. “Our employees are committed to taking care of each other, especially in times of need. We felt the money should be used for the purpose for which it was intended and we know by making this donation to the Sanford Health Employee Crisis Fund we will do just that.”
