Sanford Health once again made the InformationWeek 500, an annual listing of the nation’s most innovative users of business technology. The companies were revealed in September at an awards ceremony held during the InformationWeek 500 Conference in Dana Point, CA.
“Sanford Health leads the way in implementing various information technology initiatives, including our electronic health record (EHR) called docZ, “said Arlyn Broekhuis, Sanford Health Chief Information Officer. “We have been able to implement docZ in 37 physician clinics. Today, we have more than 200 physicians practicing in a paperless environment, which means a more seamless and safer experience for our patients.”
Sanford Health has also implemented docZ in 17 hospitals around the region. System-wide, more than 1.1 million patients are now in the docZ system. In addition, Sanford Health has implemented the My Sanford Chart patient portal. Patients are able to view lab results, medications and immunizations, as well as, renew prescriptions, schedule appointments and communicate with their care team all online.
