Sanford Vermillion Medical Center recently received a movie library of 100 new DVD movies from Kid Flicks.
“Having movies helps distract children from their pain and provides a low key activity that promotes normalization during their healing process. We are grateful for the generous donation from Kid Flicks,” comments Kari Jo James, Family/Child Life Specialist at Sanford Vermillion.
Kid Flicks is a not-for-profit organization founded by California sisters, Marni and Berni Barta, who decided to collect movies for their hospitalized friend. Hospitals making a request are sent a “movie library” of 100 assorted films that appeal to toddlers through teens.
