(Sioux Falls, SD) – A blizzard of support for Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) at Sanford Children’s Hospital will take over the region once again this month. Participating Dairy Queen and DQ Grill & Chill locations will celebrate the 4th annual Miracle Treat Day by donating proceeds from every Blizzard sold on Thursday, August 13 to CMN.
Last year, nearly 34,000 Blizzards were sold in South Dakota. And, for the third year in a row, DeLon Mork, Dairy Queen owner in Madison, SD sold more Blizzards than any other DQ in the country.
“We want to thank all of the owners in our area who have provided tremendous support to Children’s Miracle Network,” states Amy Sumner, CMN director at Sanford Children’s Hospital. “They have been extremely supportive and have donated DQ products as well as dollars to our cause. We are thankful that they understand the impact of the dollars they raise. They know it’s all about the kids.
” Over the past three years, regional DQs have raised more than $227,000 through the Miracle Treat Day Program.
Families touched by CMN will be at their local DQs throughout the day, helping with this years’ event. They will be serving up Blizzards for customers in DeSmet, Dell Rapids, Groton, Madison, Mitchell, Sioux Falls, and Tyndall.
