The 2009 Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Celebration Broadcast aired live on KELOLAND-TV from Sanford Children’s Hospital on May 31. The influential broadcast set another record breaking year, raising $1.25 million for sick and injured children.
“To have a 12 percent increase over last year in today’s uncertain economic conditions is absolutely incredible and demonstrates the commitment the people in our community and region have to support the mission of Children’s Miracle Network,” said Charles P. O’Brien, MD, President of Sanford USD Medical Center.
The weekend festivities began with the Bikes & Babes Rally for Miracles and Pink My Ride. The CMN Broadcast followed on Sunday with miracle stories of area pediatric patients and families whose lives have been touched by Sanford Children’s and Children’s Miracle Network. The broadcast aired live for the first time from the Carlson Great Hall of Sanford Children’s Hospital.
