Mahnomen County Sheriff's Deputy Chris Dewey will be transferred via airplane tomorrow, Thursday morning to Denver, where he will receive rehabilitation at Craig Hospital, Englewood, Colo.

"Chris continues to make progress. He is showing signs of promising neurological recovery. I remain cautiously optimistic about long-term gains," said Dr. William Klava, MeritCare physical medicine.

Chris will leave MeritCare via FM Ambulance and be taken to the Fargo Jet Center. Media will not be allowed to get footage of Chris leaving MeritCare and no interviews with family or MeritCare staff will be granted. No close-up photography or video footage will be available.
