Forget the Ghosts and Goblins Your Child Not Being Properly Buckled Up is What is Scary

On Thursday, Oct. 23, from 4-6:30 p.m., Kohl's Department Store is hosting a free car seat event for parents and caregivers to ensure their children are properly buckled up and ready for Halloween. In addition to education on proper car seat usage from certified car seat technicians, there will be games and prizes for the kids. Halloween costumes are encouraged. Appointments can be made by calling (701) 234-5570. Drive-ins are also welcome.

Kohl's, 4444 13th Ave. S., Fargo, has been a great partner to Safe Kids Fargo/Moorhead by raising and donating over $150,000 since their partnership began in 2003. On Thursday at 4 p.m. Kohl's will continue its support of the local Safe Kids program by donating a check for over $33,000. The donated money is crucial to help sustain the program, which to date has checked over 4000 car seats, held over 230 safety related events, and spent thousands of manpower hours to educate the community on how to keep kids safe.
