(Sioux Falls, SD)A unique procedure performed by Tom Stys, MD and Adam Stys, MD of Sanford Clinic Heart Partners, was recently selected as case of the week by Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics (TCT), the premier educational resource for the interventional cardiology and endovascular medicine community.
Cases featured weekly with TCT are used by physicians nationally and internationally as an educational resource on the latest procedures, techniques and technology in cardiology. Based in New York, the organization is highly regarded by physicians in the cardiology community.
Dr.Stys case was titled Guidewire-Based Guiding Catheter Exchange Facilitated by a Long Sheath for Complex Right Coronary Artery (RCA) Stenting. It involved a technique he used that makes a complex coronary intervention safer and more likely to succeed.
Both Tom Stys, MD and Adam Stys, MD have frequently been recognized by TCT because of his innovative procedures and techniques. Other physicians from Sanford Clinic Heart Partners have also been featured in the past by TCT for unique cases.
