Sanford Health Television Commercials Receive National Awards

Sanford Health’s 2007 television commercials recently received highest honors at the 29th Annual Telly Awards.

(Sioux Falls, SD) —Sanford Health’s 2007 television commercials recently received highest honors at the 29th Annual Telly Awards. The national Telly’s are the most prominent awards recognizing top TV commercials and video productions in the country.

The award winning Sanford spots honored included:

"The Gift" - Silver Telly Award

"Life is Beautiful" - Silver Telly Award

"Women's Dance" - Bronze Telly Award

The Silver Telly Award represents the highest honor given at the Telly Awards and the Bronze award recognizes outstanding achievement. The Telly Awards received over 14,000 entries this year from across the United States and the world. Only 7-10% of entries will receive a Silver Telly Award.

“As our healthcare services continue to receive national and international attention and recognition, we are pleased to know our marketing efforts are also national caliber,” said Mark Johnston, Sanford Health Vice President of Administration. “This recognition proves the quality of our messaging is also at the same level as our healthcare initiatives.”

“The Gift” TV spot announced Denny Sanford’s $400 million gift and introduced the name change from Sioux Valley Hospitals & Health System to Sanford Health. The spot portrayed individuals in all life stages, representing how the gift has potential to touch everyone for generations to come.

Following “The Gift,” the “Life is Beautiful” TV spot also portrayed individuals in different life stages. The commercial reinforced the Sanford brand and showed audiences they’re a part of something big.

The “Women’s Dance” TV spot promoted the Women’s Center of Excellence with the tagline, “All kinds of care, for all kinds of women.” The campaign featured women from all stages of life dancing to a customized song created just for Sanford.

All three commercials were created in partnership with local marketing and advertising agency, Lawrence & Schiller.

“We are often asked what national agency does our ads. We were proud to say they were developed and produced right here in Sioux Falls,” added Johnston.

“The Gift,” “Life is Beautiful,” and “Women’s Dance” spots were also recently honored during the 42nd South Dakota ADDY® Awards. Sanford came home with seven Gold Addy’s, three Silver Addy’s and one Best of Class award. The honors mark one of the highest award totals won by one organization in the last twenty years.
