500th Transplant Performed

In 1989, Fargo's first kidney transplant was performed. Nineteen years later, the community is celebrating the fact that 500 transplants have occurred. On Thursday, March 13, Dr. Bhargav Mistry performed the region's 500th transplant at MeritCare. The surgery was only the second double-kidney transplant performed at MeritCare.
