Seventy Schools and 25 Faith Communities in ND and MN Celebrate Kindness This Week

This week, Feb. 10-16, has been named Celebrate Kindness Week for schools and faith communities in Fargo, Moorhead, West Fargo, Mayville and Bemidji and the surrounding area. Sponsored by MeritCare, Celebrate Kindness is held annually to promote goodwill and peace in our communities through the sharing of kindness with friends, family, neighbors and even strangers. This year's theme is "100 ways to be kind," which was chosen to recognize MeritCare's 100-year celebration that will begin this month.

Throughout the week, people are encouraged to find opportunities to intentionally spread goodwill through kind words and service to others. Many schools in the region will do special activities to promote kindness throughout this week. For example, a kindergarten class at Jefferson Elementary, Fargo, has started recording 100 acts of kindness on a bulletin board, with plans to exceed 100.
