- Monday, Feb. 25: 9:30-10:15 a.m. - Unveiling of the Historical Display
MeritCare Broadway Clinic, 737 Broadway, Fargo
MeritCare will be unveiling its display of historical artifacts that help visually tell its history. Some things included in the display are nursing uniforms from the past, an antique desk used by founder Dr. Nils Tronnes, retired medical equipment, photos, historical timeline and more. Dr. Roger Gilbertson, MeritCare president/CEO, and descendents of the founders, including Hans Tronnes, grandson of Dr. Tronnes, will be available for interviews. If you are unable to attend the unveiling, the display will remain open throughout the day.
- Monday, Feb. 25: 10:30-11:30 a.m. - Rededication Ceremony
First Lutheran Church, 619 Broadway N., Fargo
The rededication ceremony will pay tribute to the founders of St. Luke's Hospital and Fargo Clinic, and the leaders and staff who have helped "light the way" to provide health care for the communities MeritCare serves. It will include addresses by Dr. Gilbertson, Hans Tronnes and Wayne Gadberry, chairperson of the MeritCare board of trustees, a ribbon cutting by the FM Chamber of Commerce, and an inter-faith blessing.
- Wednesday, Feb. 27: 9:30-10 a.m. (continues all day) - Healing Hands Event
MeritCare north lobby, 801 Broadway N., Fargo
Dr. Gilbertson will start the Healing Hands Event by blessing four associates' hands, those four will pass onto four others, etc., spreading from the main campus lobby across the health system. The goal is to bless the hands of 6,000 associates in one day.
