Festival of Wreaths Starts Tomorrow

The community is gathering to kick-off the holiday season, and raise money for an important cause. Thursday, Nov. 15, starts the three-day MeritCare Foundation's Festival of Wreaths celebration. This 23rd annual, premier event will fill the Ramada Plaza Suites Crystal Ballroom in Fargo with the smells, sounds and ambiance of the holiday season. This year, the festival includes a girls' night out event, a luncheon with speaker Chris Linnares, an English tea, dine with Santa events for the kids, a gala, and, of course, shopping with unique holiday gifts and fare.

The money raised this year will be used to purchase dialysis machines for MeritCare Kidney Services. The more than 100,000 new patients that are diagnosed each year in the U.S. with kidney failure rely on these machines to do what their kidneys can no longer do. MeritCare Kidney Services currently provides outpatient hemodialysis services to more than 300 patients in several locations throughout the region, including Fargo, Detroit Lakes, Red Lake, Morris, Bemidji and others.

Festival of Wreaths is open to the public, although reservations are required for some activities. Girls' Night Out and English Tea at Three are sold out.
