Growing Healthy Family Fun Night Celebrates Kohls Contribution to Sanford Childrens

Kohl's and Sanford Children's are working together to sponsor Growing Healthy Family Fun Night to celebrate Kohl's latest contribution.

Kohl’s and Sanford Children’s are working together to sponsor Growing Healthy Family Fun Night to Celebrate Kohl’s latest contribution. Since 2001, Kohl’s Department Store has raised money through the Kohl’s Cares for Kids (KCK) program to benefit children in our community. Funds are raised through the sale of special items, such as plush animals, books and CDs, four times a year.

This year Kohl’s will present Sanford Children’s with more than $27,000, bringing their total giving to Sanford Children’s pediatric healthcare programming to more than $178,000. To celebrate year’s donation, employees from the Kohl’s Sioux Falls store will volunteer their time to help host a Growing Healthy Family Fun Night.

Monday October 1, 2007 from 6:30pm to 8:00pm
Family Wellness (located at 32nd Street and Ellis Road)

The event will involve families playing together and having fun while working their way through activities that promote healthy food choices and lifestyles. In response to the nation-wide childhood obesity academic, the Growing Healthy Fun Night is being held on National Child Health Day to raise awareness and promote prevention. There will also be a check presentation from Kohl’s to Sanford Children’s during the event.

Sanford Children’s is the regional hub for children’s healthcare with the ability to meet the multiple medical needs of thousands of children each year and is the only facility in the region to offer a vast array of specialized children’s healthcare services.
