Thief River Clinic Transition Goes Smoothly

Earlier this month, some changes took place at the clinic on 120 LaBree Ave. S. There's a new logo and a new name, but the same staff and providers. On May 1, Altru Northwest Clinic became a MeritCare clinic. The clinic's new name is Northwest MeritCare Clinic. It's owned by Northwest Medical Center, which includes a 25-bed critical access hospital, an inpatient and outpatient mental health unit, a free-standing 15-bed group home for mentally ill and a free-standing 10 bed treatment center for emotionally disturbed children.

A couple of weeks into things, clinic coordinator Jan Anderson says, "Things are going smoothly. Our patients were very happy to hear that the same providers would be here, at the same location, providing them with the same great care."

In addition to Jan, those working at the clinic are: Paula Anderson, LPN; Vickie Graves, NP; Janet Hoffard, patient financial services office specialist; Paul Klein, NP; Alysia Morinville, registration service assistant; Allison Neuschwander, medical assistant; Cindy Odberg, registration service assistant; Scott Petrescue, MD, family medicine; Sandra Rohlf, LPN; Maile Roper, DO, family medicine; Samantha Sovde, service area assistant; and Sheila Wiskow, LPN.
