MeritCare Receives Organ Donation Medal of Honor

MeritCare has been awarded the U.S. Health and Human Services Organ Donation Medal of Honor for the second year in a row. The medal is awarded to hospitals that have achieved at least a 75% donation rate as part of the National Organ Donation Breakthrough Collaborative, which was launched in 2003.

MeritCare was one of 300 hospitals honored this year. Dr. Kenneth Moritsugu, U.S. Deputy Surgeon General, presented the Medals on Oct. 19 during the National Learning Congress Awards Dinner in New Orleans.
