Physicians and health-care professionals at MeritCare will have the opportunity to learn about the newest devices used to care for patients with cardiac rhythm disorders and heart failure via a 80-foot-long semi-truck traveling education unit. The unit will be parked just outside MeritCare Hospital's old south side main entrance next to the power plant.

The Medtronic Therapy and Procedure Training Center is a mobile unit that contains two virtual simulated cardiac catheterization labs. The simulator allows Heart Center staff to practice state-of-the art device (e.g. pacemaker) implant procedures using a system that emulates the look and feel of actual patient cases.
