Sioux Valley Hospice has scheduled its 2006
When a death occurs in a family, confusion, anger, uncertainty, fear, loneliness and guilt are common feelings that may invade a childs world. Children often keep their feelings to themselves because they may not want to further burden a grieving parent.
- Arts and crafts
- Recreational activities
- Small group discussion
- Education on grief process
These activities are designed to promote opportunities to express feelings and learn health coping techniques. This is done with other kids who have experienced similar losses. Professional social work staff-lead group activities and adult volunteers, many who have also experienced loss, provide individual attention to campers throughout the day.
A donation of $25 is requested to be applied toward the cost of meals, snacks and activities. To register, call 605-328-4440.
