Albert Ronning Nursing Scholarship Available Deadline May 15

MeritCare Foundation has announced the availability of a $2,100 scholarship to students entering their fourth year of training, during the 2006-2007 academic year, for their bachelor's degree in nursing through the Tri-College Nursing Program. Applicants who are school of nursing graduates will receive first priority; MeritCare employees will receive second priority; and other nursing students in their fourth year of training will then be considered. The scholarship is called the Albert Ronice MeritCare Foundation Scholarship.

Albert Ronice grew up in Kindred, N.D. He was a patient at the former St. Luke's Hospital (now MeritCare Medical Center) and so appreciated the care he received that he left a major gift to endow for scholarships for nursing students.
