Sioux Valley Hospital USD Medical Center is announcing Phase II of the Sioux Valley Cancer Center.
Sioux Valley Hospital USD Medical Center is announcing Phase II of the Sioux Valley Cancer Center. In March of 2006, construction of the next phase of the Cancer Center will begin. An entire floor will be dedicated to the new location of the Sioux Valley Clinic-Breast and Bone Health Institute. This expanding clinic will be moving above the Sioux Valley Outpatient Radiation Therapy area of the Cancer Center, which was the project’s first phase.
Phase two also brings further state-of-the-art technology; a Breast MRI and digital mammography for the earliest diagnosis of breast cancer. Bringing this type of technology to the region ensures unparalleled care for patients with a cancer diagnosis.
"Early breast cancer detection means a greater chance for successful treatment and a greater range of treatment options for our patients," says Dr. Dan Blue, Sioux Valley Clinic President.
Phase two of the Sioux Valley Cancer Center is expected to be completed in the spring of 2007.
