Bemidji Foundation - Guardian Angel

Guardian Angel is a program that gives patients and their families the opportunity to acknowledge a staff member or a volunteer who they felt gave them exceptional care. The patient or family member can recognize the Sanford Guardian Angel by making a monetary gift of any amount.

The first time a staff member or volunteer is recognized as a Guardian Angel, he or she will receive a Guardian Angel lapel pin to wear proudly. For each additional recognition, he or she will receive a recognition card. On the 10th recognition, the associate or volunteer will be presented with a gold Guardian Angel pin. Here are some recent recipients:

Amy Gish

"She was incredibly compassionate during the delivery of our son from the beginning to the end. She made sure I was comfortable once I was transferred into my room, which made her stay past her shift. Her dedication and caring personality are greatly appreciated." - grateful patient

"She is always very helpful and goes above and beyond her clinical duties for our family. She responds quickly to our concerns and is very caring. We are incredibly thankful she is our nurse!!" - grateful patient

Lyndsey Grand

"She came out to get me and saw I was not feeling well. After a few questions, she took me right to the ER. Stayed with me until I was put in a room. She also continued to be at my side, holding my hand and comforting me. As I dozed on and off, every time I woke up and looked up she was still there. It was her caring and knowledge of knowing what to do that impressed me as well as my husband. This was to me definitely a day she went above and beyond her job. Very caring person!" - grateful patient
