Dr. Dirksen’s practice is solely focused on the management of malignant and benign breast disease. He is the surgical director of the Edith Sanford Breast Center and is actively involved in the Edith Sanford Breast Specialty Clinic. Dr. Dirksen completed a fellowship in Breast Surgical Oncology at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, IA. He performs numerous types of breast procedures including nipple-sparing mastectomies, oncoplastic breast surgery, and is a Hidden Scar certified breast surgeon.
Dr. Dirksen has a special interest and expertise in treating patients with breast cancer and other diseases of the breast. As part of a multidisciplinary breast cancer team, Dr. Dirksen provides surgical treatment tailored to each patient and their specific diagnosis.
