I believe in patient-centered care, which respects a person’s individual beliefs, values, culture, and faith. I feel it is important to work with the person in making decisions related to their health and well-being. I think patients should have ownership in their healthcare decisions while providing information and care that is evidence-based and up-to-date.
Emily Kalina, NP is married with three children and a pet Cavalier King Charles Spaniel dog. She enjoys being outside with family and playing board and card games. She tries to stay active doing paddle board fitness, cross country skiing, and recently began training for her first half marathon. She also likes to golf.
