Dr. Harris' research interests are in pain medicine, preoperative evaluation and intraoperative hemodynamics.
As an anesthesiologist, Dr. Harris is involved in the administration of general, regional or sedation anesthesia to patients during surgery or other procedures. He is also responsible for the monitoring and maintenance of the patients' vital functions. The anesthesiologist may personally administer anesthesia or may supervise the administration of anesthesia by nurse anesthetists. Anesthesiologists are also involved in post-operative pain management and chronic pain management.
Dr. Harris enjoys volleyball, racquetball, travel, cooking, hiking and camping. He is also the proud parent of an eskimo/sheltie mix.
