My philosophy of care is encouraging the patients to be involved in their care as much as possible. I think it’s important for patients to have an understanding of why tests, medicines, etc., are ordered. Patients have expectations with their care, and I think it’s important to listen to them and incorporate their wants and needs to meet those expectations safely.

Betsy grew up in Yankton, South Dakota. She has wanted to be a nurse practitioner ever since she started seeing one as her own health care advisor. She enjoys spending time with her family and stays active chasing after her children.
