Radiation Oncology

The radiation oncology department at Roger Maris Cancer Center encompasses a full range of inpatient and outpatient services for children and adults. Our team of experts uses a multidisciplinary care model with various experts involved in developing an individualized care plan.

Radiation can be used:

  • Before surgery to shrink a tumor
  • After surgery to stop growth
  • To relieve some symptoms
  • For quality of life improvements
     

Treatments and Procedures

Brachytherapy

This is a radiation treatment delivered directly into your body and is placed as close to the cancer as possible. Learn more.

Stereotactic Radiosurgery

This form of radiation delivers a high dose of radiation to a small area of the body to attack the cancer while preserving healthy tissue. Learn more.

External Beam Therapy
