More than 86 million Americans have pre-diabetes and without intervention, most of them will be diagnosed with diabetes within 10 years. The Diabetes Prevention Program can help you take control of your health and focus on realistic life changes that will last. You can benefit from this program if you have:
High blood sugar
A family history of diabetes
Or are overweight
The program consists of 16 weekly sessions and 7 monthly sessions with trained lifestyle coaches.
The goals of the program are to lose 7 percent of your body weight and increase physical activity to a minimum of 150 minutes per week.
