Nutritional Counseling

Nutritional Food Services counsels cancer patients on the unique nutritional needs of cancer patients and problem solving issues such as correct caloric and protein intake, symptom management, and appropriate supplement choices.

Genetic Testing/Counseling

Genetic Testing and Counseling there are many factors that can increase an individual’s risk for developing cancer. However, no factor increases the risk more significantly than a cancer susceptibility gene. This is especially true for breast cancer, ovarian cancer, colon cancer, pancreatic cancer and melanoma. Because of this, Sanford Clinic Women’s Health is offering the Sanford Heredity Cancer Clinic for men and women who have strong personal or family histories of certain types of cancer.

A genetic counselor, gynecologic oncologist, and other knowledgeable physicians staff the clinic.
