Program overview

The University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences Orthopedic Surgery Residency Program was created based on a strong commitment and passion for educating the next generation of orthopedic surgeons. It is managed and funded by Sanford Health.

The five-year comprehensive program will help future orthopedic surgeons from across the country learn from the region’s most talented surgeons in both Fargo, ND, and Sioux Falls, SD. The group will spend approximately three years in Fargo, one year in Sioux Falls and the fifth year being a choice by the resident of either Fargo or Sioux Falls, with a blend of both academic and community programs.
