We want to make the transition to Sanford Behavioral Health as smooth as possible. This page contains information about appointments, billing and your client rights.


Appointment Information

Appointment Information

  • All clients need to check-in at the first floor registration desk and also at the reception desk on the fourth floor.
  • Please be on time for your appointment.
  • Please schedule appointments as far in advance as possible.
  • Our therapy billing hour typically consists of 45 minutes per visit, with an additional 15 minutes expended in preparation and charting. Medication follow-up typically consists of 15—30 minutes.
  • A 24-hour notice is required for cancellations. Failure to provide this may result in a missed appointment charge.
  • If you miss two appointments without calling, it may result in discontinuation of services.

Billing Information

Billing Information

  • Please check your insurance to verify your plan's coverage and co-payment amount.
  • Please call the business office at (701) 323-8670, if you have questions about your insurance, your account or billing procedures.
  • You are responsible to check with your insurance company to see if you need a referral from your primary care physician.
  • When you request your insurance company to cover our service, they obtain your authorization to access your records
