Jamie graduated from the University of Mary in 2000 with a master’s degree in physical therapy.  She has been employed with Sanford Health since 2000.  Jamie started in home health care and since 2007, she has been working as a physical therapist at Sanford Hydrotherapy.  Jamie has completed multiple courses in aquatic therapy and is working towards her aquatic certification.  Her special interests include examination and evaluation of low back pain, arthritis and seeing patients of all ages.

Brandon graduated from the University of North Dakota in 2005 with a bachelor’s of science degree and a major in chemistry. He went on to graduate from the University of Mary in 2009 with a doctorate of physical therapy. He has been employed by Sanford in Bismarck since 2009 and evaluates and treats a variety of orthopedic diagnoses with an emphasis in outpatient orthopedics and sports related injuries. Brandon has been an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) since 2006 and is an Orthopedic Section member and a Sports Section member of the APTA. Brandon earned his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification in 2014 and is an active member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association. In 2017, he earned board certification as an Orthopedic Certified Specialist in Physical Therapy. Brandon believes in life-long learning, professional development and patient education. He founded and manages “Evidence Extravaganza,” a journal club to review and discuss current literature in the field of physical therapy. Brandon has a special interest in treating shoulder pathologies and working with overhead athletes.

Bryan graduated from the University of North Dakota in 1995 with a master’s degree in physical therapy.  He has worked in the Sanford Outpatient Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine Department since 1995 with a special emphasis on outpatient orthopedics and sports medicine.  He spent three years in the hydrotherapy department as lead therapist before returning to the 7th and Thayer clinic. Bryan sees a variety of diagnoses with special interests including ACL reconstructions, total joint replacements and biomechanical running evaluations.  He has post-graduate training in cervical and lumbar manipulation and emphasizes manual therapy techniques in his treatment interventions.  Bryan enjoys working with physical therapy students and has had the privilege to help mentor over 20 students over the years.

Kari received a master of physical therapy degree from the University of North Dakota in 1994.  Following graduation, she practiced in a variety of clinical settings around the country.  She was certified by the McKenzie Institute, USA in mechanical diagnosis and therapy of the spine in 2000.  She went on to earn a doctor of physical therapy degree from Regis University in Denver, Colorado.  She was pleased to return to North Dakota several years ago and joined Sanford Health in 2015.  Her treatment interests include the spine and orthopedic conditions.  She advocates lifelong physical fitness and enjoys helping people return to active lives, work and hobbies.

Carol graduated from the University of North Dakota in 1983 with a bachelor’s degree in physical therapy.  She has been employed with Sanford Bismarck Outpatient Physical Therapy for the past 28 years.  Her professional interests include treatment/prevention of osteoporosis, pain management and total joint replacement rehabilitation.

Originally from Dickinson, Jess graduated from the University of Mary in 2013 with a doctorate in physical therapy. He began working in the Minneapolis area in a transitional care unit treating all ages of patients and a large variety of surgical and non-surgical injuries. In 2015, he came back to North Dakota and accepted a position with Sanford Orthopedics and Sports Medicine in Bismarck. Jess has acquired training in Kinesiotaping and other special interests include examination and treatment of sports medicine and orthopedic patients.

Jody graduated from Texas Christian University in 1991 with a bachelor’s degree in Movement Science.  She went on to complete her master’s of physical therapy from the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan. in 1994.  She has been employed at Sanford in Bismarck for a total of 13 years.  In 2015, she became a certified ASTYM provider, which is a non-invasive soft tissue technique utilizing hand-held instruments to locate and address underlying soft tissue dysfunction.  Her professional interests include outpatient orthopedics and sports related injuries with a special interest in running and overuse injuries.

Ariel graduated from the University of Mary in 2012 with a doctorate of physical therapy and has been employed with Sanford Health since that time.  Ariel is a certified LSVT Big® instructor, which is an exercise treatment program specifically designed for people with Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders.  Her professional interests include examination and evaluation of older individuals with gait and balance impairments and increase fall risk, individuals with neurological conditions such as stroke, multiple sclerosis, traumatic brain injuries and Parkinson’s disease, and individuals with dizziness/vestibular pathologies.

Colleen graduated from the University of North Dakota in 1994 with a master’s degree in physical therapy.  She has been employed by Sanford Bismarck since 2006.  She has been an adjunct professor for the University of Mary where she teaches a class focusing on women’s and men’s health for the University of Mary physical therapy program.  Colleen has experience treating a variety of orthopedic diagnoses which she has done in the acute care, rehabilitation, home health and outpatient settings.  She specialized in the treatment of bladder and bowel dysfunction that can affect people of all ages, pelvic pain syndromes, pelvic ring dysfunction, tailbone pain and pregnancy/postpartum related issues.

Jim graduated from the University of North Dakota in 1980 with a bachelor’s degree in physical therapy.  He was employed at St. Vincent Hospital in Billings, MT for five years, serving as staff therapist, clinical instructor and interim department manager.  He was then employed for five years as the rehabilitation department manager at Jamestown Hospital followed by eight years for Sanford Health as the physical therapy director at the Mandan Hospital.  Jim has always been a working manager, treating a large variety of patients.  He has received extensive continuing education for evaluating and treating various joints and conditions of the body and spine.  For the past 18 years, he has been employed with Sanford Bismarck Outpatient Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine Clinic.  Jim enjoys treating a variety of orthopedic conditions with special interest in scapular/shoulder pathologies, soft tissue injuries and total joint replacement rehabilitation.

Michelle Keller is a 2003 graduate of the University of Mary with a master’s degree in physical therapy.  She has furthered her education, obtaining a certified certificate of competency in vestibular rehabilitation in 2013 from the APTA and Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, as well as specific training in Parkinson’s disease including certification in LSVT BIG® in 2014 and certification in Parkinson’s Wellness Recovery as a PWR!Therapist in 2015.  She has been employed with Sanford Bismarck for eight years with experience and providing care in outpatient neurological rehabilitation, outpatient orthopedics and vestibular rehabilitation.

Savannah graduated from the University of Mary in 2010 with a doctorate of physical therapy and is a Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT) through the Norton School of Lymphatic Studies.  She has been employed by Sanford Health for two years.  Prior to returning to North Dakota, she lived in Washington where her clinical practice focused on orthopedic injuries, pelvic floor rehabilitation, vestibular rehabilitation and cancer-related dysfunction.  Savannah is currently working towards her Lymphology Association of North America (LANA) certification and has been an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) since 2007 as well as an Oncology Section member of the APTA.  Savannah has completed additional training in breast cancer rehabilitation and lymphedema of the head and neck.  Savannah serves as the primary physical therapist for the Sanford Survivorship program and works closely with the Bismarck Cancer Center to provide evidence-based care to patients undergoing treatment.

Mike graduated from North Dakota State University in 1993 with a bachelor’s degree in athletic training. He worked as an athletic trainer covering both high school and college sports before attending the University of Mary and graduating in 1997 with a master’s degree in physical therapy. He has been employed by Sanford Bismarck for a total of 20 years. Nichole graduated from the University of Mary in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in athletic training. She went on to enter their program in physical therapy and graduated with a doctorate of physical therapy in 2007. She has been employed as a physical therapist with Sanford Health for more than five years and sees a variety of orthopedic and sports medicine diagnoses. She has been an active member of the APTA for more than 10 years and became an APTA certified clinical instructor in 2009. She is also involved in the North Dakota Physical Therapy Association and is currently serving as the chair of the continuing education committee. Her professional special interests include examination and evaluation of orthopedic and sports medicine patients, as well as being involved in teaching and educating patients, caregivers, coaches, athletic trainers and students.

Catherine is a 2006 graduate of the University of North Dakota with a doctorate degree in physical therapy.  She has been with Sanford Health for 10 years.  She has experience in a variety of physical therapy settings including outpatient neurological rehabilitation, outpatient orthopedics, inpatient rehabilitation and home care.  She has a special interest in working with individuals with neurologic disorders, vestibular dysfunction and older adults with balance impairments and falls.  She has had specific training in Parkinson’s disease, including certification in LSVT BIG® in 2012 and Parkinson’s Wellness Recovery becoming trained as a PWR!Therapist in 2015.  She is also a member of the APTA and is an APTA certified clinical instructor.

Jeff graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1992 with a bachelor’s degree in physical therapy.  He has been employed at Sanford in Bismarck for a total of 24 years.  Jeff has worked in multiple areas of physical therapy, has received additional training and is certified in ergonomics and work site assessments.  His professional interests include outpatient orthopedics and sports-related injuries with a special interest in ergonomics.
