Athletic Training Services

Athletic training is a service supporting our sports medicine specialists, where active daily involvement with athletes, physicians, and coaches affect the health care and well-being of the competitive and recreational athlete.

Our Athletic Trainers are health care professionals who collaborate with physicians. The services provided by Athletic Trainers are comprised of prevention, emergency care, clinical diagnosis, therapeutic intervention and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions.

  • On- and off-the-field injury prevention and management during practice and competition
  • Recognition, evaluation and immediate care of athletic injuries
  • Attend sporting events to ensure prompt evaluation and treatment of injuries, including on-call coverage
  • School visits to provide injury-prevention education, evaluation, treatment and reconditioning services
  • Taping, bandaging, wrapping and bracing of joints and limbs to prepare athletes for practice or competition
  • Free injury screenings and advice on self-care of injuries
  • Advice on self-care for injuries
