RECREATIONAL AND ATHLETIC INJURIES
While most recreational athletes recover quickly after surgery, many still require physical therapy to assist in this process. Our goal is to safely return each individual to their previous level of function, as well as provide them with the tools necessary to prevent a condition from becoming a chronic pain.

TRAUMATIC CONDITIONS
After an incident of trauma, such as a motor vehicle accident, a fall resulting in a fracture, shoulder separation, etc., many individuals require rehabilitative care to promote improved function and prevent future complications.

POSTURAL DEVIATIONS
Many people demonstrate postural deviations that may contribute to current soft tissue pain or predisposed them to increased bouts of pain in later years.

ADULT / PEDIATRIC ORTHOPEDIC DISORDERS
Patients of all ages suffer from a variety of musculoskeletal conditions that compromise their abilities to perform desired activities. A specific physical therapy exercise routine can help to reduce soft tissue pain.

MEDICALLY SUPERVISED PROGRAM-TEAMFIT
Perhaps you would like to shed those extra pounds, have more energy, or just get into better shape, but do not know where to start. You may have been told that you have a health condition coupled with an orthopedic concern and could benefit from medical supervision. The staff at Sanford Teamwork Physical Therapy wants to assist you with improving your health and fitness.

TOTAL JOINT REHABILITATION
Patients who undergo joint replacement have unique needs regarding physical therapy and rehabilitation. Education is an important component in the recovery process. Exercise is necessary to facilitate improved strength, range of motion, pain and swelling reduction, improved joint biomechanics and gait quality as the patient relearns movement patterns and transitions with assistive devices. We work closely with the patient and their family to ensure clear understanding of goals and expectations throughout the rehabilitation process. Attention to detail throughout rehab helps to uphold the likelihood of a successful joint replacement outcome.

SPORTS SPECIFIC REHABILITATION
Student athletes who sustain injuries often have a desire to try to return to their sport. We utilize specific protocols, as recommended by the physician, to gradually guide the injured athlete toward a safe and efficient return to sport. As physical therapists with an interest in helping reconnect student/athletes with their goals, we will strive to incorporate sports specific training methods during the course of rehab that will comply with recovery guidelines yet challenge patients toward a safe return. Examples of those athletic injuries requiring skilled therapy intervention may include: post-op arthroscopy of the knee, elbow, ankle or shoulder, rotator cuff tendonitis, shoulder labral or ligament reconstruction, ankle/foot tendon or ligament injuries, post-fracture care, patello-femoral tracking problems, pre-op and post-op ACL reconstruction, and joint dislocation.

INDUSTRIAL AND WORK RELATED INJURIES
We will work together with rehabilitation case managers, nurses, employers, and physicians to smoothly guide patients through their recovery process as well as safe return to work. We understand and recognize the necessity to initiate physical therapy services promptly following an acute work injury. We will strive to acknowledge these unique situations through a coordinated process that includes timely scheduling of an initial physical therapy evaluation succeeded by follow-up appointments.
